The race was yesterday. Our friend D ran half and R ran half. 13.1 miles each. They ROCKED it. I'm so overwhelmed with the emotion of the day that I'm having trouble getting my thoughts down.
It was 37 degrees outside with sleet, snow, rain and 25mph winds.
Pictures here. I'll have more to say soon, I promise. It was all so emotional. Such a rush to watch him do this. 13 miles. Amazing.

Congratulations! To BOTH of you - I know how scary this was for you, Snob; ya done good!
I'll be really interested to see how you feel after seeing him run the race. Glad it went so well!
That is amazing, Amy! I told R the other day that I was VERY proud of him. I know this couldn't have been easy for you. In all that you have been through on the road to R's recovery, you crossed that finish line with R, too!
I am so proud for both you and R. You each had much to conquer. Kudos to both for doing so well and finshing the race. Creds to you for accepting whatever was going to happen. I think you should both grab a few breathes now and enjoy the sense of R being in the world of ALIVE.
YAY! Sorry for being absent, but I am so happy for your dear R and you. Revel in this accomplishment and the high that come with it.
I'm turning belated cartwheels for you. (Ok, I'm uh, NOT, but my spirit is)...
Hugs!
